The Singer:  Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Sheila Vayenás is a classically trained singer and dancer. Her professional career started very early. Life on the road was not her cup of tea, so she retired from professional musical theatre and began singing in blues and supper clubs around the country. She began teaching voice and dance in Rockford, Illinois, and still does. She loves performing, and in her words, “I don’t ask the key.  I don’t ask the style.  I just sing it.”   She wanted to produce the most eclectic album possible, and with her three octave voice, that was an easy task. From Webber to Willie, it’s all here!

Sheila’s passion for music is equaled only by her love for animals. She is deeply involved, and well-connected in rescuing animals all over the country, and works tirelessly to save as many “fur babies” as possible, often using her own finances. She educates communities about so-called "shelters" and pet stores that support the puppy mill industry. This project was conceived to help finance her rescue work.  For more about companion animal abuse,  please visit www.asapinrockford.com.

JAM

Just East of  Silver Creek, first ridge South by West outside of Mudville

sits the Prince from the Land of Broken holding all the Keys.

Many times the door with magic signs eluded him.

As the twilight faded, the frogs of Silver Creek would sing their amazing songs.
