My name is Daniel Ray Burris.

I am a 24 year old percussionist from Rockford Il.

 I began playing at age 5 and started lessons shortly after under Jack Brand (of Rockford)

There I was trained in rock, jazz, fusion and metal.

I have been a part of two rock type jam bands...Strangers on Birch and D.A.M. as well as sitting in with Rockford's Pistol Pete several times for blues and soul sessions.

My influences include Carter Beauford, Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Jack Brand, Neil Pert, Victor Wooten.

Although I love all music I would place myself as a jazz/fusion drummer that is always looking for something funky.

 

JAM	Just East of  Silver Creek, first ridge South by West outside of Mudville sits the Prince from the Land of Broken holding all the Keys. Many times the door with magic signs eluded him. As the twilight faded, the frogs of Silver Creek would sing their amazing songs.
